Sweetie came to us after her geriatric owner could no longer keep her in their assisted living apartment. Sweetie is known for being quite shy in new settings and then blossoming into a lap cat once adjusted. She has a playful side as well! Sweetie is used to being an only cat but doesn't seem to mind the other residents here. She would love a calm, quiet home so she'll feel comfortable showing her true self. She has started venturing around the shelter to say hello to human friends! Sweetie was already declawed in her front paws when she arrived, so we encourage potential adopters to be aware that declawed cats occasionally have arthritis or litter box issues. Sweetie has not exhibited either yet. She has nipped from time to time, so she will need a cat savvy human to be her parent. Since she tends to bite, it would probably be best if she did not go to a home with young children.
