Skittle came to us after his owner was badly injured and could no longer care for him properly. He is a big ol' boy with lots of love and affection to give. Skittle is pretty easy going with lounging around being his top priority. He loves the vertical space in the shelter so hopes his new home will have some tall cat trees or ledges that he can climb, explore, and then snooze away. Skittle will make a great lap cat and loyal friend for someone. He is also very curious and likes to know what the humans are up to. If it looks like something he might enjoy participating in, he will jump right in and help them out.
Skittle has occasionally sprayed urine at the shelter, but we expect this is behavioral due to living with a bunch of cats. He can also sometimes instigate scuffles so although he mostly gets along with others, he would do well as an only cat. He's on a medication to help with these issues and can likely wean once settled in his new home.
Despite his sometimes-unwanted behavior in the shelter, we are optimistic that once in a quiet, loving home away from so many cats, that he obviously isn’t used to living with, he will be a wonderful companion. This friendly guy just needs a second chance to find the loving home he deserves. With the cold weather fast approaching, he will make a fun cuddle buddy!
