Shirley and her sister Audrey came to Good Mews when their owner could no longer care for them and to improve their chances at adoption. Shirley and Audrey are our resident Golden Girls, who are looking for a cozy home and a loving family to start the next chapter of their lives. Although very similar, Shirley seems a bit more outgoing than Audrey with humans, but still a bit shy around new cats. Both are big, lazy nap-cats, and even if Shirley doesn't come up to you in the shelter, both her and Audrey love it when humans approach them and give them attention. Neither seem particularly picky about who is petting them, so they are open to trusting new people and will probably adjust excellently in a new home. Shirley had a dental cleaning in November 2021 which did require several extractions and she already had a few missing teeth. Shirley healed well from this procedure. We do recommmend annual dental exams to assess the need for additional dental care. Audrey and Shirley are a bonded pair so they must be adopted together!
