Santiago transferred to us from Cobb County Animal Services along with a bunch of other kitties. She was arrived at that facility after her owner had to surrender after a decade together. Santiago was adopted into a nice home for a few months, and she loved her mom, but could not come to terms with a man in the home. When the male was in the home, Santiago tended to have accidents outside of the box because of her nerves -- or would just plain hide from him. We have not seen this behavior since she returned to the shelter. A girl knows what she wants, we guess! Santiago is pretty vocal and talkative once she knows her person, but definitely may be shy when first meeting her or taking her home. She is a cuddly girl and likes attention, especially if it's in your lap. Santiago prefers wet over dry food but is a food lover in general. She looks forward to finding a lasting home for this next part of her life! Because she did not do well in a home with a male, we feel it would be best if she lived in a female only home.
