Prima transferred to us from Dekalb Co AC (Lifeline). She ended up at that facility when an animal control officer found Prima with her leg caught in the edge of dumpster. This was obviously a scary situation. Prima was in foster with a Lifeline volunteer until she could come to Good Mews. When she arrived, our veterinarian quickly performed a procedure to repair her front left foot. This involved amputating 1 toe, declawing some of the other toes on that foot due to the trauma and stitching it all together. This foot will always look a little funny but she can walk on it normally even though she may still have a slight limp for a few more weeks. She climbs, scratches and plays like a happy cat! Prima enjoys attention and petting which elicits a purring storm. These sweetheart has been through so much and we are excited for the good part of her life to begin by finding a forever home!
Prima was adopted but sadly returned because she did not like the resident cat. Prima would make an excellent single kitty, that way she gets all the love and attention to herself. If she goes to a home where another cat lives, it is strongly suggested that the adopter does a very slow introduction.
