about me

Minah first came to Good Mews as a kitten who was found in a car engine, and has been returned recently as her adopter can no longer care for her. Minah is a quiet but affectionate middle-aged female. You can tell by her facial expressions that she is a curious cat, but still seems a little reluctant to join in the general fray of the open shelter. Minah can usually be found high-up in a bed or a corner of a cat tree, where she feels safest, and can be entertained by everyone else. Minah is quick to warm up and begin to trust people, but she's still a little too nervous to curl up into your lap or jump down to rub up against your legs. She does love face-pets and will even give soft love-nips to let you know she wants you to keep petting her. She'll also get her face right up close to yours, which is a friendly posture. She shows her 'elevator butt' almost immediately, which means she's interested in you, but she prefers to be petted around the face. Minah's former adopter advised that Minah does not like to be picked up, but she simply adores being petted, and will get on her hind legs to let you know. She also is known to meow and chirp softly at you when content, and will meow back at you when you talk to her. So if you'd like a cat who you can have great conversations with, Minah just might be a great find.
