about me

Benton and several of his siblings came to Good Mews when their mom had to go to a memory care facility. All these cats are mature adults or seniors and have lived with their mom their whole life, so it is understandable that they were all scared, confused, hurt and uncertain of their future. Now that they’ve been with us for a while, they have become more secure and confident. They are all very sweet cats and they are hoping they have another chance at a loving home.

Upon arrival, Benton had tried to be as brave as possible, but was a bit shy at times. Since he has been getting a lot of attention from the volunteers and he is starting to make human friends and enjoying all the pets and loving. He is a very handsome, sweet boy that is quiet with an engaging personality. Once you start petting him, you can tell by the look in his eyes he does not want you to stop. it is obvious he was very loved and spoiled in his previous home and he is craving that attention again.
He gets along great with other cats so he would do well in a multi-cat home and he will probably do fine on his own, as long as his new person give him lots of attention. He will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an older kitty to spend their life with.

Benton and Kenny are brothers if you are looking to adopt two that already get along!

Benton is in our Kitty Keeper program and co-writes his letters with Lemon Meringue. While not bonded, these two have divided the shelter to make sure their sponsors are kept up to date on all shelter happenings!
