Celebrate Seniors!
November is Adopt a Senior Pet month!
For everyone who has ever adopted a senior cat, you fully understand the joy they can bring to your family for many years to come. Cats are living so much longer these days with better food, advanced health benefits etc. so it is not unusual to have a cat for 20 years!
If you are considering adding a new family member, we encourage you to think about a “golden oldie” from Good Mews. Cats are considered senior at the age of 7 and as we all know some seven year olds can still act like youngsters!

Cat Tree Sponsorship
Good Mews is pleased to announce our Cat Tree Sponsorship program.
Good Mews and Crijo Pets have developed a wonderful partnership to bring the shelter kitties locally crafted furniture made of all
natural materials. Each piece is custom built to suit the needs of the shelter. When you sponsor a custom built Crijo Tree, you are
giving a gift that will be enjoyed daily by the cats of Good Mews.
We are working hard to try to replace our older cat trees with new Crijo Pet trees. The Crijo Pet Products are a great addition to our shelter as they are easier to keep clean and sanitary and our cats absolutely love them! They offer so many different options for our cats to lounge upon, scratch the fine sisal and have different hide-away tunnels for our shyer cats!

If you send an ecard to a friend and they sign up for Sloppy Kiss Cards then Good Mews gets 25% of the sale. If your friend then sends an ecard to someone else who then signs up, we get credit for that sale as well. And so on, and so on…
When your friend clicks on the ecard link to view the ecard the charity code is stored as a cookie on their computer for 30 days. If they join Sloppy Kiss Cards at any time during those 30 days then the charity code field of the sign up form will be automatically filled in with your charity code. This means Good Mews will get credit for the sale and your charity code will be associated with that person’s account so when they send ecards your code will be included in their ecard links which will hopefully continue to drive more sales for GM.

Carrie Murtha, a Good Mews volunteer has started her own line of art work called the Snip Pets!
What exactly IS a SnipPet?
It’s simple. A snip~pet is…
1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.
2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all!
Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!
From Carrie: “I will donate 10% of any art sales generated by you directly to your Spay/Neuter efforts. I always ask each customer how/where they heard about the SnipPets, so that i can easily track what group to donate to. In addition, I am developing products featuring my SnipPet mascots, Stuart and Sunny SnipPet, and 100% of the profits from those items will go toward your spay/neuter efforts.
