February is Cat Appreciation Month, so be sure to give your kitty extra attention and toys this month! Of course, we know that in cat households, it’s ALWAYS Cat Appreciation month!

Also consider celebrating this special month by adopting a new cat (or two with our February special!). All of our kitties would really appreciate a new home!
If you are unable to adopt, how about joining our Kitty Keeper program by sponsoring one of our shelter residents? For more information about being a Kitty Keeper, click here
For the month of February our bonded/mandatory pairs will have a reduced adoption fee of $114.00! Or you can make a pair of your own and get our two-fur-one special..$125!![]()
Come spread the love at Good Mews!

Good Mews Animal Foundation is proud to announce the award of a $5,000 grant from the Doris Day Animal Foundation. This grant is specifically targeted toward our Golden Companions program, and provides the funding to waive the fees for our senior cats that are adopted by senior citizens. In addition, this grant also assists with the funding of the HALO costs relating to our senior cats in the HALO program. The Doris Day Animal Foundation strongly supports the benefits of the companionship that senior cats can provide to senior citizens, a position also strongly supported by Good Mews.
So if you are a senior citizen, age 65 or older, all adoption fees are waived if you adopt one of our special feline senior citizens. They will bring you many years of comfort and love. Or if you know a special senior, maybe a grandparent or other older relative or friend, consider bringing them in to meet our older kitties. Our Golden Companion kitties would like nothing more than a Home for the Holidays! Please meet our Golden Companions under the Adopt tab, Golden Companions. And a very special thank you to the Doris Day Animal Foundation for their support of this program.

Madison is a tiny girl that has the most adorable little face. To me she resembles a little owl. Madison came to Good Mews several months ago and was quickly adopted. She was later returned because she wasn’t adjusting to her new home.
Madison is a shy kitty that will need a patient adopter that will be willing to give her some time to adjust. We think a quiet home would probably be best. She really is a sweet girl that likes attention. When I hold her she will cuddle into me and she pretty much stays there until I place her down. She likes to play and will roll around on her back when you dangle a toy in front of her. Madison loves treats and when you have a bag of treats in your hands she will look up at you with those adorable round eyes of hers and say “may I have some treats please?”.
Often times shy kitties are over-looked for the more outgoing, social cats. But once a shy cat gets home and you are patient and work with them, they do come around. And once they do, they are the most wonderful, special kitties in the world. They just need a chance. And our sweet Madison needs a chance. So if you want to bring a shy sweet girl into your life, please consider Madison.
