Our flea market success is bigger than any we have done in previous years!! Thanks to our donors and volunteers for so much support!
Due to that support we received so many amazing donations and we still have great things left. If you want a good deal on a couch, lamps, home decor etc. come see us again this Saturday from 10am- 5pm.
In case this is your first visit to our sale, we are in the same location as last year in the New London Square Shopping Center located at 1461 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA. 30062. Look for the storefront with our sign, just behind Williamson BBQ and next to Life Grocery!

Last Chance for Flea Market Donations
We want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful donations you have made so far for our 2008 Flea Market. We are quickly filling up all three of our store fronts and cannot wait for the sale!
This Saturday, April 19th will be the last day we are able to accept donations in order for us to have sufficient time to get everything sorted, priced and ready for our big day!
“Don’t fall asleep without bringing us your donations!”
If you have anything to donate, please remember you can bring your stuff to the Flea Market site at New London Shopping Center on Monday, April 14th from 1:30-3:30, Friday April 18th from 1:30-3:30 and all day Saturday April 19 from 10 am- 4 pm. (Scroll down on this page for address, directions and more info about the location!)
Our preview day begins on Friday, April 25th and for a $10 donation for Good Mews, you get first pick at all the best items we have. Shop early from 9 am- 6 pm.
On Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th we continue our big sale. Saturday hours are 8-5 and Sunday hours are 12-5!
The following weekend on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th we will be bringing in new merchandise so please come back and shop with a new selection to choose from!!
Cali’s big day!
After being at Good Mews for over 2 years, Cali finally found her forever home and her big day was this past Saturday! Cali is a beautiful calico, very sweet and a bit independent. Perhaps that is why she always got overlooked on adoption days. Everyone always commented how sweet she was but no one really took a second look.
On Sunday March 30, Cali was featured in Sandra Eckstein’s Pet Dish column in the Living Section of the AJC, along with many other shelter animals who have been overlooked! Immediately after the article came out we were bombarded with over 20 calls of people interested in meeting Cali.
She went home on Saturday as did many other of our adult kitties. Once Cali was adopted, many others went home with the families who were interested in adopting Cali. Calicos and Torties were all the rage this weekend at Good Mews!!
A special thank you goes out to our friend Sandra Eckstein and the AJC.... without her column Cali may still be waiting for her forever home!

Maxine
Maxine recently came to Good Mews after living at the Cat Clinic of Roswell. Her previous home had other pets that stressed her out and she was quite upset all the time and was made to live outside. She became quite friendly at the Cat Clinic and really enjoys being loved by her people. She is very sweet and cute and would do best in a quiet home environment, as the only pet. Come meet her and see her cute little stubby tail.

Good Mews is very excited to announce we will be the first shelter in Georgia to roll out the ASPCA®’s Meet Your Match Feline-ality™ Program. We plan to have it up and running by late summer!
Meet your Match for felines was introduced by the ASPCA® in 2007. The launch of Feline-ality™ in 2007 is the latest addition to the ASPCA®’s Meet Your Match™ constellation of adoption programs that include research-based animal behavior assessments—all aimed at increasing adoption rates, and reducing return rates at shelters, thus combating the problem of pet overpopulation in shelters today.
According to the ASPCA®, “the key to developing successful adoptions lies in making good matches between adopters and pets, thus creating lasting bonds,” said Dr. Emily Weiss, the ASPCA’s senior director of shelter behavior programs, and researcher of ASPCA®’s Meet Your Match™. “Feline-ality™ is a tool that does precisely this; and everyone—adopters, shelter staff, and most of all, the cats—benefits from the program.”
