Onyx is an independent little girl that can easily occupy herself, but she does love the company of other cats. She also loves the attention from people and has such a sweet-natured personality.
Onyx came to Good Mews as a kitten and quickly found a home. Sadly, she was recently returned for scratching on furniture. Scratching is a cat’s natural instinct, so Onyx was doing what all kitties do. We don’t know if she was supplied with the proper scratching posts or redirected elsewhere. We just know Onyx is very sad to be back at the shelter. We are hoping she finds a new home real soon. She will need a patient adopter who is willing to provide her with a lot of proper places to scratch and help train her if she scratches somewhere she shouldn’t. A cat shouldn’t be without a loving home because she scratches. So if you would like to meet this sweet girl that has so much to offer, stop by and ask for Onyx!
