Herbie came to Good Mews about two and a half years ago when a local rescuer contacted us and asked if we would be willing to take him in and help find him a home. Since we had the means to help little Herbie, we said we would be more than happy to help! You see, Herbie is completely blind and needed surgery to remove his eyes. During all of Herbie’s surgeries, a vet tech fell in love with him and adopted him. Now she has fallen on hard times and had to return poor Herbie. He is now in need of a new loving home with someone that can understand his special needs.
But really, blind cats can get around just as well as a cat with sight, as long as you don’t move things around on him! Herbie did very well in his home as long as his family kept the furniture in the same places. He could run and jump and climb! You just have to be a little more careful with a blind cat!
Herbie is a very sweet loving boy who we hope to find a new home for soon, because we do move things around a lot in the shelter and being in a stable home environment would be best for him. Herbie gets along great with other cats, dogs and children! If you think you are the right home for Herbie, please come by the shelter to meet him!
Update-Herbie adores his roommate Nina if anyone would like to adopt 2 kitties that love each other!!
