Augustine's Happy Ending Story

Hello,
Sorry it’s taken us so long to write about Augustine. We decided to rename her Molly (because it would be easier for her 2-year-old kitty brother, Sam, to pronounce, ha!). Molly was very mellow and sweet when we saw her at the shelter, falling asleep in my lap at one point. We thought she’d be a perfect fit for us. She was—but that little girl has so much more energy than we ever could have anticipated! Molly is very curious and has to check out everything in the house, usually more than once.

She’s also very interested in our human food at dinner time and will try to find any way she can to steal a little bit off our plates. She also loves to bring toys—and anything else she might find, like our mail—and horde them in a little corner she’s designated as her own. She is very affectionate, though, and loves to be cuddled, at least as long as it isn’t interrupting her exploration time or playtime with her brother! She and Sam became fast friends and now follow each other everywhere around the house, and we often find them giving each other a bath when they take time out from wrestling.

If they’re in different rooms, we’ll often hear one meowing—calling for the other to come play. Molly has been a wonderful addition to our home and a great sister to Sam. We look forward to having her snuggle up in bed with us every night, which she has done since the first day we brought her home.

Thank you for allowing us to adopt such a wonderful cat! We love her so very much!

Oreo's Happy Ending Story

Sorry it took so long for us to write about OREO. We visited Good Mews over the summer looking for a special cat. We had lost our beloved cat (Kovu) in the spring. It was very painful for us. As I was talking to my son and looking at the cats, OREO jumped on my son’s lap. She lied down and started giving him kitty kisses or should I say tried to groom him. She captured our hearts this way. We had no doubt that we needed to adopt her. She made herself at home from day one.

We enjoy her very much! She has had some health issues and needed to have a small surgery (dental) but she is doing fine now. She is very sweet with my son who has autism. OREO is his best friend. He likes to take her for a walk in the neighborhood. She enjoys the walk in her cat stroller.

Oreo likes to wake us up in the middle of the night with kitty kisses. Occasionally, she likes to steal my body pillow and take a nap on it. She is the queen of the house a true DIVA. OREO is a part of our family now.

We are still missing our beloved Kovu; nobody can take his place, but Oreo’s love has eased the pain for us. We can’t imagine not having her around. Thank you Good Mews for bring OREO to our live’s. She has found her forever home.

Love,

JoJo's Happy Ending Story

We adopted Jojo in early 2010. He has adjusted very well to his new home. He gets along very well with our 5 year old cat, Sasha, and my 9 year old son.
Good_Mews
He loves to run around the housing chasing balls and throwing toy mice. Sometimes he will even get into a race with Sasha. Jojo loves to drink water out of the faucet.
Good_Mews
When you take a bath he loves to walk around the tub and typically falls in the water. Every morning when my alarm goes off he comes in meowing reminding me it is time to get up and give him water from the faucet. He loves to lie down in the floor and drink his water. He will bring his toys and drop them in his water bowl.
Good_Mews
He definitely does not lack a personality and you never know what to expect from him.

Jojo has been a great addition to the family and has helped fill the void that we had from our cat that died of kidney stones.

Tristan and several other cats were rescued from a situation that started off with good intentions, but then quickly got out of hand. Someone rescued cats that were about to be euthanized at animal control but then it got to be way many cats for 1 person to care for. The situation was brought to our attention and with the help of other rescues, all of the cats were placed. We don’t know the history of these cats. Most probably had a home at some point and ended up at animal control. They are all very loving kitties that are just so happy to be alive and on their way to a new home.

Tristan is a very beautiful cat, but don’t tell him that! He said boys aren’t supposed to be beautiful, they are handsome or cute. But we think Tristan is beautiful, no matter how much he fusses at us when we call him that! He is an outgoing fellow that is looking forward to his very own home to run around in and finding warm sunny spots to nap. He also wants a home where he will get a lot of attention.  Tristan loves people and wants nothing more to hang out with them at home and play fun games. Tristan will definitely keep someone on their toes, but I doubt we will hear any complaints!
