“But Mom, I’m the most fascinating thing to watch in this room!”

Dear Good Mews,
I just wanted to let you know that I am doing so well! I (Nellie - now Nellie Bean) was adopted in February 2005 when I was 8 months old. As you may recall, I had some pretty bad “nasal problems” back then. My momma and daddy helped me get better and I don’t have any nose problems anymore! Once I got to my new house, I started running and haven’t stopped yet! I run up/down the stairs and all through the house all the time! I love running! I also discovered sunlight and how wonderful it is to bask in a patch on the floor. I am a rambunctious 2 year old now and constantly make my two siblings stay on their toes! My momma and daddy are so nice to me. They let me have treats and play with me all the time with “Toy” (as seen in one of the pics) and love on me all the time. As you can see, I still have a miniature head and big fat belly, but I’m so happy and doing so well. I even love to be held now that everyone isn’t trying to put drops into my nose (well until I decide it’s time to chase one of my siblings or look at the birds outside)! Thank you Good Mews for everything you did for me!!! My momma and daddy wanted to let you know that they love me so much!
Love,
Nellie Bean
HAPPY ENDINGS STORY FOR JAIME:
Momma Jaime was a very pregnant stray with a mutilated tail when she came to Good Mews in the spring of 2005. She was sent to live in a foster home where she delivered seven beautiful kittens. She and her kittens were later returned to Good Mews for adoption. Every time Jaime’s foster mom came to the shelter, Jaime would come running to the sound of her voice and follow her around like a puppy dog. The love was mutual, so Jaime was quickly adopted back into her foster home as a permanent family member!

Samantha and her sister, Louise, were abandoned by their owners when they moved. Who wouldn’t be upset after that?? Samantha is still guarded and learning to trust people again. She is seeking a very patient home who will give her all the time she needs to adjust. She enjoys having other kitty friends around!
Carrie Murtha, a Good Mews volunteer has started her own line of art work called the Snip Pets!
What exactly IS a SnipPet?
It’s simple. A snip~pet is…
1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.
2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all!
Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!
From Carrie: “I will donate 10% of any art sales generated by you directly to your Spay/Neuter efforts. I always ask each customer how/where they heard about the SnipPets, so that i can easily track what group to donate to. In addition, I am developing products featuring my SnipPet mascots, Stuart and Sunny SnipPet, and 100% of the profits from those items will go toward your spay/neuter efforts.
In addition, 10% of the selling price will go to the best cat shelter in the world, Good Mews. I will donate that percentage to their spaying and neutering efforts.”
Please check out her wonderful products by clicking Snip~Pets. Also check out more about her artwork and her spay neuter efforts in helping our furry friends at Snip-Pet-Blog.
Another great holiday gift idea for you and your friends and an added bonus of helping the Good Mews kitties!
