Bogalusa's Happy Ending Story

Dear Good Mews,

Mom said she visited everyone today.  She left some pictures of me too.  I still don’t like that camera thing. Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and wish that all the kitties at Good Mews find wonderful homes like I have.

Leroy, my brother, convinces me to do these things that I find out we shouldn’t be doing.  His thought is mom won’t get upset with me.  The latest caper was he opened the cabinet where mom keeps our dry food.  Leroy convinced me to get inside it and told me to flick out pieces of food I managed to get out of the bag, that he conveniently knocked over.  Well mom came to the kitchen and just stared laughing.  She heard the kibble hitting the floor.  There’s Leroy sitting there like Mr. Innocent! and I’m inside the cabinet.  No one got in trouble.  Just got lots of love from mom.

We had this thing called Christmas.  Got lots of toys.  I just don’t understand why Leroy still wants that old ratty blue mouse when we have so many newer ones.  He does like the fact that I’ll carry that old mouse up and down the stairs from our bedroom (um, mom’s bedroom) to the living room. I’ve discovered these things called steps.  Man I can fly up and down them.  Sometimes I think mom gets nervous cause I run soooooo fast.  Even Leroy likes to play this.

I’ve learned how “help” mom change the sheets and bedding on the bed.  I tell you, getting in the middle of the sheets when she’s trying to put them on the bed is fun.  I’ve also discovered that a great place to nap is the middle of the pile of clean warm clothes that come ouf of this thing called a dryer.  However, mom doesn’t let up sleep there long.

I went to the vet (yuck) for my check up.  I’m perfect (like I didn’t know that!) I was a good girl as Leroy, he had to talk so much on the way to the vet.  He does not like going in the carrier.  But when we got home we sat in the windows and watched the squirrels outside.

Well friends at Good Mews.....Happy New Year and Thanks for all you do for us kitties.

Love,

Bogalusa, Leroy and Mom (Janice Nuckols)

Snip Pets!

Good_Mews

Carrie Murtha, a Good Mews volunteer has started her own line of art work called the Snip Pets!
Good_Mews

What exactly IS a SnipPet?

It’s simple. A snip~pet is…
1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.
2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all!

Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!

From Carrie: “I will donate 10% of any art sales generated by you directly to your Spay/Neuter efforts. I always ask each customer how/where they heard about the SnipPets, so that i can easily track what group to donate to.  In addition, I am developing products featuring my SnipPet mascots, Stuart and Sunny SnipPet, and 100% of the profits from those items will go toward your spay/neuter efforts.

I just put 6 SnipPet paintings on Ebay! The starting prices are super low, so you better begin bidding now!

In addition, 10% of the selling price will go to the best cat shelter in the world, Good Mews. I will donate that percentage to their spaying and neutering efforts.”

For just a couple of more days, click SnipPets-Ebay to bid on her work.
