Molly and Maisy's Happy Ending Story

We adopted Molly and Maisy into our family back in July. They have been such a welcome addition to our family. Both were a little nervous about their new home at first. Molly warmed up to us first, and she was able to convince Maisy that their new family was okay. Before too long, both girls were out and enjoying spending time with the family.

Both girls have changed significantly since we brought them home, and they continue to humor and amaze us. Maisy is much more relaxed. She usually wants to be where the family is, and she tucks us in every night. She spent much of the summer sitting on the mantle in the den while we watched tv, blinking at us and rolling her head around when we talked to her but not wanting to be petted. Now, not only does she let us pet her when we reach out to her, but she sometimes headbutts our hands to initiate the petting. She also jumps up on the bed and tucks Bob and me in every night. She’s very vocal and calls us when she’s killed a toy so that we can see her hard work. Sometimes she even brings us her “prey” as a present. She’s also not shy about letting us know if she feels that her dinner is late!

Molly loves to take laundry from the basket of clean, but unfolded, clothes and drag them around the house. She has some favorite shirts, but she has also managed to drag a queen-sized blanket down the stairs and then dragged it back up them! One surprising thing that has happened is that the skinny kink that she had in her tail when we adopted her has completely fluffed out. If you pet her tail, you can still feel it, but it is no longer visible.

Thank you so much for Molly and Maisy. They are wonderful additions to our family. We love them so much.

Quincie's Happy Ending Story

Quincie has been doing wonderfully in her home. It has been 2 months and she and our 2 boy kitties have become friends and playmates.
She wrestles with Edgar and plays chase with Tomas. She is quite speedy. She has lots of energy, eats like a pig, gained a pound, and her
rat tail doesn’t look so ratty anymore.
Good_Mews
Her bad eye is doing good considering she will never see out of it again. She plays with her dry food like a hockey puck and all of the kitty toys.
One in particular she will carry around in her mouth.
Good_Mews
They will chase the light from a flashlight, shadows on the wall or the floor. She left the Christmas tree alone, but loved sliding and diving into the
sheet we use as a tree skirt. I gave up on keeping it around the tree.

Quincie is the little princess in the house, but acts a lot like a little tomboy..but we like her spunkiness and joy!

Thank you for taking her in and taking care of her at Good Mews.

Tiffany's Happy Ending Story

Tiffany was adopted last September, when her would be parents met her accidentally at Good Mews and fell in love with her shy but sweet demeanor. At the time, she had an incision from getting fixed, which healed nicely after her parents brought her home, and after she had a rough bout with some digestion problems, but after several vet visits and lots of TLC, Tiffany, now called Nyx, was back to 100% in no time.
Good_Mews
At first, her new older sister Tzeentch didn’t know what to think of her new housemate, but after several weeks, Tzeentch became more comfortable with Nyx and adopted her as a sister. Tzeentch has taught Nyx her habits of stalking around the house and jumping out at mom and dad, and even some of her bad ones, like jumping up and down on the shelves in the office.
Good_Mews
Nyx has become very much a daddy’s girl, and is never far from him when he’s home. She likes to sleep at his computer monitor when he’s doing work, and when it’s time for bed her favorite spot is sleeping at his side, or between mom and dad, with her sister right next to her.
Good_Mews
Though small at first, Nyx has begun to outgrow her older sister Tzeentch, who is about eight pounds. They get along very well and it’s good to see Nyx holding her own during playtime. Though Nyx is much shyer around new people than her adventurous and curious sister Tzeentch (whom we are convinced is actually a dog in a cat’s body), Nyx is VERY loving and she’s been given the nick-name “purrbox” by her parents.
Good_Mews
Currently, Nyx is sleeping next to her dad’s keyboard, with her sister on the other side.
Thanks for a fantastic and wonderful addition to our family.

William

Good_Mews

William and two other kitties were all rescued by a wonderful lady and were living a great life with her, but then sadly she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She searched desperately for new homes or rescues for her babies and when we heard about the situation, we agreed to help her. We hope she is now at peace knowing these 3 are safe with us and we hope we will be able to find them homes soon. I know it would make her happy knowing they had a loving home again.

William is a very striking silver tabby that wants nothing more than for someone to dote on him. And with his good looks, I don’t know how anyone could not help it! He is a very sweet, gentle boy that is longing for a new home.  William is also playful and one of his favorite things to play with is water! William is an awesome kitty so come meet him..we think you will agree!

————————————————————-

William is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! He is a very handsome boy that would love to have his own quiet home to hang out in. We have had many inquiries about William because of his unique look, but when told he is FIV+, they get scared. FIV is nothing to be afraid of. There is a lot of information out there now on FIV, people just need to educate themselves.
FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives. They can also live safely with FIV-negative cats. FIV is spread through severe bite wounds, so it is important that your kitties get along.
William would make a wonderful single cat, only because he wants to be the king of his castle.
To learn more about FIV, please read our two articles under the Advice tab on our home page.

A generous donor has paid for William’s adoption fee!
