Puff Daddy, Valentino and Eggbert's Happy Ending Story

Just wanted to give you an update on Valentino, Eggbert now known as Ace and Puffdaddy. They are doiing wonderful.  They keep the big dogs on their toes by attacking their tails.  The dogs will try to back up into a closet to hide their tail.  Eggbert had a hard time for a little while but he now is right at home along with Val and Puff.  We love them very much.  While we are on the computer they lay in the hammock we put up to hang out with us.

In order is Puff Daddy, Valentino and Eggbert now known as Ace.

Ariel's Happy Ending Story

I wanted to let you know how much we love Ariel.  She has adapted beautifully to our home, and she and our other cat “Tom” are like two little lovebirds.  She is still a little shy, and doesn’t like to be picked up, but she is very loving and affectionate.  Here is a picture of Ariel in her “house”, where she often sits looking out the window, watching birds, or watching the show that our new puppy (Tido) and older dog (Buddy) put on a show.  Thanks again for everything and we will send more pictures soon.

Sterling's Happy Ending Story

When James came home from Good Mews in October, he thought he was going to lead a quiet, boring life with Bob, the owner of the house. Little did he know that at the end of December, I’d be coming home from Good Mews to take over the house and change his, and Bob’s, life.

I was pretty frisky when I was in the kitten room at Good Mews, but now that I have a whole house, you should see me run around. In the beginning, I stayed fairly close to the ground, but, a few weeks ago, I decided it was time to jump up on the kitchen counter. From there it was easy to get to the top of the refrigerator, and from there it was one small leap to the top of the kitchen cabinets. Now Bob never knows where he’ll find me, but so far I’ve been very careful to not break anything on my way up or down.

My favorite sport these days is wrestling with James. He’s bigger and stronger then I am, but I’m fearless and probably quicker. The truth is I think he sometimes lets me win because he enjoys wrestling too, and he doesn’t want to scare me away. He’s actually very nice to me, even when I push him away from the food bowl so I can eat first.

The only problem I have is that lately Bob has been locking us out of his bedroom at night. It used to be that all of us could sleep under the covers. I enjoyed that, and I’m not sure why Bob is keeping us out. Do you think it’s because I like to wrestle on the bed with James at 3 in the morning, and Bob wasn’t getting enough sleep?
Good_Mews
All in all, James and I have a good thing going, and I’d like to thank Good Mews for making it possible and Bob for bringing us all together.

Time to go wrestle with James,
Sterling (the cute gray guy in Bob’s pictures)

Carrie Murtha, a Good Mews volunteer has started her own line of art work called the Snip Pets!
Good_Mews

What exactly IS a SnipPet?

It’s simple. A snip~pet is…
1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.
2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all!

Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!

From Carrie: “I will donate 10% of any art sales generated by you directly to your Spay/Neuter efforts. I always ask each customer how/where they heard about the SnipPets, so that i can easily track what group to donate to.  In addition, I am developing products featuring my SnipPet mascots, Stuart and Sunny SnipPet, and 100% of the profits from those items will go toward your spay/neuter efforts.

In addition, 10% of the selling price will go to the best cat shelter in the world, Good Mews. I will donate that percentage to their spaying and neutering efforts.”
