Banjo and Bijou's Happy Ending Story

One more update and picture.  The kittens went in for their rabies shots and a nail trimming this week and were amazingly calm.  No hissing, clawing, or scratching.  Banjo weighed in at 5.9 pounds and Bijou was 5.4 pounds.  She has always been smaller than Banjo but seems to be catching up lately.  After a long day in the yard and a big meal I conked out on the sofa when the son snapped the attached photo appropriately titled “nap time”.

Harry's Happy Ending Story

Dear Dana,

I was going through old emails and came across the picture you sent to me of Harry, now called Nickoli.  Here is Nickoli on my desk helping me with work at my computer. He is absolutely adorable and full of himself. He loves me SO much, and I love him just as much. He weighs 11 lbs now, mostly muscle, and even will occasionally sleep with me.
Thank you all for taking such good care of Nickoli before I got him.

A perfect match –
Take care,
Dinah

Thatcher's Happy Ending Story

My partner, Sean, and I adopted a wonderful cat, Thatcher, from your organization last July.  We love him to death.
Good_Mews
We adopted Thatcher last July and he acclimated almost immediately to the house. Of course that involved hitting plenty of objects with his paw just to see what was nailed down or not!
He is extremely affectionate and loves getting scratched on his back and ears. We set up a sunny window perch where he can lounge and watch the birds feeding outside. When not sleeping, chasing bugs, playing hide-and-seek or in deep contemplation, he will follow us around the house to see what we are up to, and never seems to tire of exploring the closets.

One of his favorite places to hang out is on top of plastic grocery bags. By accident we discovered he likes being pulled around the kitchen floor while perched on those bags! It’s a hoot to watch.

Thatcher brings us joy every day. Thanks for bringing him into our lives.

Ally

Good_Mews

My name is Ally.  I have gone through a lot of changes lately, so although I am very relieved to be here at Good Mews, I am still a little shy and uncertain.  I am super sweet through, and will just purr forever for you!  I love treats and toys, and although I may take a little time to adjust to another new situation, I am sure to be an absolute delight to my new family! My best friend in the world is Gideon so maybe you would want us both! Please come and visit me!

Snip Pets!

Good_Mews

Carrie Murtha, a Good Mews volunteer has started her own line of art work called the Snip Pets!
Good_Mews

What exactly IS a SnipPet?

It’s simple. A snip~pet is…
1-PET art created with SNIPS of paper, paint and clay.
2-a PET that has been spayed or neutered...the kindest SNIP of all!

Make sure YOUR pet is a SnipPet...it is the only way to stop pet overpopulation and the consequent euthansasia of millions of healthy, adoptable cats and dogs EVERY year!

From Carrie: “I will donate 10% of any art sales generated by you directly to your Spay/Neuter efforts. I always ask each customer how/where they heard about the SnipPets, so that i can easily track what group to donate to.  In addition, I am developing products featuring my SnipPet mascots, Stuart and Sunny SnipPet, and 100% of the profits from those items will go toward your spay/neuter efforts.

In addition, 10% of the selling price will go to the best cat shelter in the world, Good Mews. I will donate that percentage to their spaying and neutering efforts.”
