Pretty Flower is taking applications for a new home and she is being a little choosy. But we can’t really blame her; she has had a rough couple of months and she wants to get it right this time.
She had a family but when they moved to a new home they placed her litterbox in an area that was not easily accessible so she did her business on the floor. The family was not happy about this so Flower went to a new home: outside! Poor Flower. She had never been outside before and to make matters worse, she is declawed! She was so frightened and hated her new “home”. She couldn’t understand why she was being punished for something that was not her fault.
Thankfully a family member was worried about her living outside, so she boarded Flower until a rescue could be found. And that is when we stepped in! We wanted to find Flower the loving home she deserves.
And this home must provide the following:
• A warm lap to sit in
• Tasty soft food
• A kitty bed for naps
• Petting sessions
• Lots of kisses
• LOVE
So if you think you could provide the home environment Flower is looking for, submit your application!
She would do best as a single cat.
Flower is front declawed.

Holly is a very sweet girl that is looking for a quiet home. She used to live in a house with over 100 cats and I honestly do not know how she survived. Being around a lot of cats makes her nervous so she prefers the company of one or two laid-back kitties.
Holly is a tiny girl with a big heart. She loves the company of her favorite people and when I go into her room she will run out and greet me and rub all over me and give me head butts, while that little motor runs. She also likes to sleep with me at night and will press her body against mine for security.
Holly is afraid she will never find her forever home because she is black. She feels people think black cats are boring. But I told her once someone meets her and sees how sweet she is, they won’t care if she is black. Plus, a lot of people think black cats are beautiful! So I think Holly has two great things going for her: she is beautiful and she is loving. Who can’t resist that?

Lexi and several other cats were rescued from a situation that started off with good intentions, but then quickly got out of hand. Someone rescued cats that were about to be euthanized at animal control but then it got to be way many cats for 1 person to care for. The situation was brought to our attention and with the help of other rescues, all of the cats were placed. We don’t know the history of these cats. Most probably had a home at some point and ended up at animal control. They are all very loving kitties that are just so happy to be alive and on their way to a new home.
This beautiful girl is constantly in motion! She has a lot of energy and has a great time playing with her toys and chasing a laser light. She is OK with being picked up and she loves to sit on the couch with her favorite person. Lexi is still young and has a lot of “kitten” in her. Plus, she is a typical, fun-loving torti!

Rosebud was on her way to being euthanized because her family did not want her anymore. A GM volunteer just happened to be at the clinic where Rosebud was and overheard the whole conversation between the owner and one of the employees at the clinic. Rosebud looked pitiful. She was very underweight, her coat was a dull, matted mess and she knew what was going on. It was just a matter of minutes for her. Our volunteer stepped in and offered to take Rosebud and the owner easily gave her up. So off to a foster home she went where she got the love and attention she needed. Within a few weeks Rosebud started to blossom both physically and mentally. Her personality really started to shine! What a love this kitty is! She is such a talker and a snuggler and loves her toys. She would sit in your lap all day if you let her and will follow you around the house. Rosebud deserves a wonderful home and to be showered with the affection and attention she deserves.
——————————————————————————————
Rosebud is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! Rosebud is a very gentle girl that wants nothing more than a family to call her own.
FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives. They can also live safely with FIV-negative cats. FIV is spread through severe bite wounds, so it is important that your kitties get along.
Rosebud would do best in a quiet home. She gets along fine with other cats, so one or two quiet, laid-back kitties would be ideal for her. She would also do great as a single cat, that way she doesn’t have to share a lap with anyone!

Bear and his siblings were born outside and lived their first several weeks on the porch of an abandoned home. Then one evening the kittens ventured over to the house next door to play on the deck. Lucky for them the house belonged to a Good Mews volunteer who got them indoors and fostered them until there was room at the shelter.
Bear is the quietest and most laid back of the litter until it comes to treat time. At the sound of the bag, Bear is front of center and will even try to steal from one of his brothers. Bear’s favorite toys are little mice and catnip pillows. He loves to chase and throw his toys around and when he’s done he likes nothing more then to snuggle under a blanket for a nap. Bear can be intimidated by new situations but with some time and patience he settles right in.
