Description
Ricky is a very energetic boy who likes to stay busy. His lanky body and his ear that points to one side are indicative of his mischievous personality! Ricky came to Good Mews as a kitten over 3 years ago. He is such a wonderful cat and we at Good Mews love him, but because he is all black, instead of lots of pretty colors, he is often overlooked on adoption days. We hope someone who wants a playful, lively cat will come and meet Ricky soon! He would do best in a calm, quiet home. Ricky is very bonded with his best friend Tweety and they are seeking a home together. They are a wonderful pair and would make a family very happy! Please come meet these wonderful boys soon. They are longing for a forever home!

Fiaca and Noelle are two beautiful petite girls that were abandoned along with their siblings. All of their siblings have since been adopted, but Fiaca and Noelle are over-looked on adoption days because they are very shy. Since they were abandoned, we do not know their history, but my guess is something scary must have happened to them. We are hoping one day they will learn to trust us, but it is going to take a lot of time and patience.
These sweet girls are extremely bonded and are often found curled up in a bed together. It is rare to see one without the other. So we would never dream of separating them.
There are times when an adopter comes through our door looking for a “hard to adopt” cat because they want to give a cat a home that does not have the same chance as the more adoptable cats. Right now we feel that is the type of person that will have to adopt Fiaca and Noelle, because they are so shy.
We always hear back from these adopters and the stories they tell us about these “hard to adopt” cats are wonderful! Whether these cats come around in 1 month or 1 year, they do come around! And I truly believe Fiaca and Noelle are no exception, if given the chance. They have already made great progress since coming to the shelter, and I know once in a quiet home, with the right family, they will blossom to be lovely girls!
**Update** Fiaca and Noelle are in a special room so volunteers can work with them and show them that people aren’t so bad! And it is working. They enjoy us petting them and we brush them and they purr and purr and Noelle even leaned towards me and gave me a kiss. So I know once in a quiet home, these girls will come around and be wonderful companions. They just need a chance.
As always, we will be open every Saturday from 10am-4pm.
Starting in 2010, we will be open the 2nd ,3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month from 1pm-4pm.
