Description

Snickers was rescued from a hoarding situation. He has had a confusing life, and that has made him a little shy. But Snickers is one of the sweetest boys you will ever meet! As soon as you place your hand on him, he starts to purr. He loves people, but since he has spent so little time with them, he tends to be unsure when someone approaches him. However, once he realizes you are there to spend time with him, he becomes very happy.
Shy cats are often over-looked at the shelter, which is very sad, because once they are in a home and time is spent with them, they flourish! They can turn into the most loving, outgoing cats! All’s they are asking for is a chance and a little time.
If you are looking for a sweet, loving cat, come by and meet Snickers. I promise you, with a little time, he will be the perfect cat!

Description

Spike and Tiger were abandoned outside a building. Thank goodness they were found before something awful happened to them! These boys are still a little scared because they do not understand what happened to them. It is apparent they had a home but their family could no longer care for them. Sadly this is happening often to animals in today’s economy.

Well, we promised Spike and Tiger that we would find them a new home and they would never find themselves in this situation again!

Spike is still a little shy right now but when you pet him he makes biscuits. That means there is a very loving boy inside and in time his true self will emerge! He is also very handsome!!

Tiger likes to growl but he means no harm, and the whole time he rubs all over you and licks your arm and will also purr. So we think that is just the way he communicates! It is kinda cute!

Once these boys start to realize they are now safe with us and that we love them, they will be just fine! Check back for updates as they progress.

Update: These wonderful boys have come so far since coming to the shelter! Tiger no longer growls at us and alls he wants to do is sit in our lap! He is so loving and sweet it is hard not to fall in love with him. Spike is also a big sweetie and he will sit and give little “mews”. That is his way of asking for attention. He loves for us to pet him. These guys truly love each other and we will often see them cuddled up together and giving each other kisses. It is so cute! They are seeking a new home together and anyone would be very lucky to have them join their family!

Description

Springie is a sweet, petite little lady that would like nothing more than to be your best friend and companion. Springie is often over-looked on adoption days because she is a senior and she has slight medical issues. But nothing major! We are hoping some day someone will walk in the door and fall in love with Springie and not care about any of these things. She really deserves a home and family to call her own.
Springie’s favorite thing to do is to perch herself in high places like a tall scratching post so she can see all the action going on around the shelter. So whoever takes her home, must have a tall scratching post for her! Please come meet this sweetie soon!

Description

Taylor came to Good Mews with her brother Bud when their family lost their home. She was really sad at first. She could not understand why she lost her home and family. We spent a lot of time with Taylor to try to make her understand that things will be OK and that she will have a new family soon. She perked up and now she is anxiously waiting for that family to come through the door!
Taylor is a very sweet and laid back girl. She loves the company of other cats so she cannot be an only cat. If you are looking for a loving, quiet girl, come by and ask for Taylor!

Description

Theo used to live at the Cat Clinic of Roswell then he moved to Good Mews. He is what we call our “shelter mascot”. Theo is a very personable cat and loves people and lots of attention! If you are not giving Theo the attention he deserves, he will be sure to let you know! He will stand in front of you and give you a big “MEOW”!
He is also the only cat we know that loves to wear clothes! So if you adopt Theo, you also have to adopt his wardrobe! He loves to wear special collars, ties, bandanas, and sometimes shirts.
Theo enjoys the company of other cats and would do well in a home with them, but he would also do fine as an only cat, that way he will get all of the attention. Because Theo requires a lot of attention, we think it would be best if he was in a home without small children. Come by and meet this charming boy soon. Theo is one of a kind and we think you will agree!

Description

Tripp is a beautiful long-haired lynx-point Siamese, and not only is he beautiful on the outside, he is also beautiful on the inside! He is such a sweet, affectionate boy that loves to snuggle into you while you hold him. And he loves to be held! This charmer even makes biscuits when you clip his nails! You can’t get much better than that!

Tripp was found by some young children in the woods behind their home during the ice storm in early January. He was lying in a hole, covered in leaves to keep warm. They fed him for a couple of weeks, and then their mother brought him to Good Mews, hoping we could take him in, because they could not keep him. We did not want to see Tripp back out in the cold, so we gladly brought him in.

We scanned Tripp for a microchip and he had one so we traced it back to a local Animal Control and we found out a little about Tripp’s history. A few years ago he somehow ended up at a vet’s clinic with a badly broken leg. It was so severe, they decided to amputate it. After he healed, he was taken to Animal Control to find a home. A home was found, but a couple years later, he somehow became lost, and that is when he ended up in the hole! The owner was found through our search, but his owner is unable to care for him at this time and has released him to us to find him a new home.

Like I said, Tripp is a beautiful boy and we know a new home will be found. So come meet him soon!

MVP
I'm a savvy cat who knows the score. I'm pretty unflappable, too. I don't mind entertaining myself, but a human companion at the other end of the couch and a nice scratch behind the ears always make my day. If you're looking for a resourceful addition to your team, think about signing this Most Valuable Pussycat.

Party Animal
I'm a cat on a mission: PARTY! I love to play and explore and test my limits. I'd love to play with you, but I can make a toy out of anything: pencils, post-it notes, potatoes. If you're looking for some laughs and someone to liven up the party, think about inviting me.

Leader of the Band
I'm a cat who does everything in a big way. I not only like to be in the middle of things--I like to lead the parade. I'm an adventurous cat, but I'll still make plenty of time to show you my affectionate side. I'm the demonstrative type, you might say. Want a cat who's brimming with confidence? That's me.

Personal Assistant

The Executive
I have to say, I'm a busy cat. First, I've got to check out what's happening out the window. Next, I'll see if any closets or cupboards need looking into. And then there are my naps--can't be late for those. I can fit a little socializing into my schedule. Shall we plan on breakfast and dinner? I hope you like kibbles.

Sidekick
Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don't go looking for trouble, but I'm no scaredy-cat, either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.

Personal Assistant
You're working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I'll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I'll just plop in your lap so you can pet me. I love an orderly household, don't you? I'll help you with all your chores, and I'll help you relax when we're done. You'll wonder how you ever managed without me.

Love Bug

Private Investigator
I'm working undercover to keep an eye on you and your household. You may not even know you're under surveillance. I can vanish into thin air if anyone or anything interferes with my investigation. If you need a cat who knows how to stay out of trouble and will always keep your secrets, I just might take your case.

Secret Admirer
When it comes to relationships, I'm very level-headed. I don't leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I'll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me, but I'll be thinking a lot of you!

Love Bug
Do you seek affection? I do! If you also like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we might have a LOT in common. I'm looking for "someone who enjoys quiet times and togetherness." Could that someone be you?

Felice

Good_Mews

Felice is a very charming girl that loves people and a nice lap to sit on. So if you are looking for a lap cat, then Felice is your girl! Poor Felice was returned to Good Mews at no fault of her own. She does not understand why she lost her home, and is now living with so many cats! But a beautiful girl like her, I don’t think she will be here long. I bet she would love to sit with you after a long day of work and watch you read or listen to how your day went. As long as she knows she is in her forever home and will be loved for the rest of her life!

Felice would do great as an only cat and she also gets along with dogs
