Holly is a very sweet girl that is looking for a quiet home. She used to live in a house with over 100 cats and I honestly do not know how she survived. Being around a lot of cats makes her nervous so she prefers the company of one or two laid-back kitties.
Holly is a tiny girl with a big heart. She loves the company of her favorite people and when I go into her room she will run out and greet me and rub all over me and give me head butts, while that little motor runs. She also likes to sleep with me at night and will press her body against mine for security.
Holly is afraid she will never find her forever home because she is black. She feels people think black cats are boring. But I told her once someone meets her and sees how sweet she is, they won’t care if she is black. Plus, a lot of people think black cats are beautiful! So I think Holly has two great things going for her: she is beautiful and she is loving. Who can’t resist that?
Holly is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Before Honeybee became a Good Mews kitty, she probably had a pretty rough life. Honeybee was brought to animal control just as she was going into labor. How scary is that? Thankfully a rescuer was at the animal control pulling cats and said she would take Honeybee and her future babies. Honeybee had 6 beautiful kittens and she was a terrific mom. Now she is ready to find her own home.
Honeybee is a total lap cat and would love to sleep with her new family every night. She is very sweet and loving. She also loves to play and her favorite toys are bouncy balls, toy mice and anything with bells. The laser light is also a big hit!
So please come meet Honeybee and consider giving her the loving, safe home she deserves.

Franklin and HP were rescued when they were living outside as kittens. They were semi-feral and needed some help with socialization. They went into foster care so we could get to work on them. They are very sweet kitties so we wanted to give them a chance at a normal life with a loving family. After a few months with their foster mom, they were doing great and ready to come to the shelter to find their new family.
Franklin and HP are loving boys that are very playful. They love to play with other cats and toys, like the feline flyer. They also love running around after the laser light.
HP is shy in new environments but once he feels safe and secure, he will come around and make a great companion. To show his affection he likes to give head-butts.
HP and Franklin are lovely boys and I hope someone will overlook their initial shyness and give these boys a home. They are not required to go home together, but they would make a great pair!

Handsome and sweet-natured, Iggy is a bit shy around people. He loves other cats, and will follow the lead of the ‘top cat’ in the group, becoming more curious and playful as he relaxes. He loves to play, but prefers quieter, one-on-one play with balls or string toys. Iggy loves the company of other cats and cannot be the only cat in the household. He likes to be petted, but finds new people and situations a bit scary and needs time and patience to adjust. For right now, it would be best for Iggy to be adopted with his brother Boomer or his mother Michelle, but as he adjusts to life at Good Mews and becomes more comfortable, he will probably be fine with another feline companion.

Isadore is a beautiful cat that is a little upset right now. She was adopted from Good Mews as a kitten and was sadly returned because her human mom lost her job and had to move into a home with someone who is allergic to cats. She was heartbroken to have to return Isadore because she loved her so much. Isadore doesn’t understand what is happening and is wondering when her mom is coming back to pick her up. We tried to explain to her that she in for a new adventure and someone will walk through the door soon to give her all the love she wants. She told us she didn’t want to hear what we had to say, but I think in time she will learn to accept all the changes in her life.
Isadore’s mom said she is a total love-bug that liked to sleep with her at night. She would also crawl into her lap for some one-on-one time. Once Isadore adjusts to a new home, I have no doubt she will be loving all over her new family. So please come by and meet Isadore and considering giving her a new home!

Are you looking for two sweet, quiet girls to join your family? If so, then come by and meet Gracie and Izzy. This beautiful pair are taking applications for a home where they will get a lot of attention. They want a nice lap to sit in and someone to cuddle up with in the evening. They love people and attention and will bring a lot of happiness to someone’s life.
Izzy and Gracie did have a loving home, but they lost it when their family grew and they just didn’t have the time to devote to them. They miss being a part of a family and would be so grateful for a new one.
Izzy and Gracie must be adopted together.
They are both front declawed.

Kiwi is a beautiful, energetic torbie Maine Coon mix. She loves to run and play, especially with string or wand toys, but is shy around people. She needs time to adjust to new situations, but it’s certainly worth the effort to get to know her. She loves other cats, but does not enjoy being picked up or held by people she doesn’t know. She needs a bit of time and patience to adjust to new situations. She isn’t a cuddly lap cat yet, but will bring a lot of joy to the right home. Kiwi cannot be the only cat in the household, and would love to be adopted with one of her brothers, Iggy or Boomer, or her mother, Michelle.

The “Berries” had a rough start in life. They were living on their own with no human contact, which is very important for small kittens. If they are not socialized when they are very young, it can take them awhile before they start to trust humans. We rescued this adorable bunch and placed them in foster care so they could be socialized. They made great progress and are now at the shelter, where they can be exposed to more people and hopefully find their forever home. They will need a very patient adopter who is willing to work with them and give them all the time they need. Once they feel safe in their home, all the work will be well worth it.
Dewberry is the curious one of the bunch and doesn’t really engage in play, but likes to watch from the sidelines. She is still learning and would love a home where she can have some playmates to teach her how to be a kitten.
