Faith is a petite little lady that is just as sweet as can be. When I found out she was 10 years old, I was really surprised, because she looks so young! But really, 10 is young considering cats can live past 20 years of age now!
Faith was pulled from animal control when she had an injured eye. Several attempts were made to save her eye, but when it was not successful, she was going to be euthanized! When we heard about her, we agreed to take in this sweet girl. Her eye did have to be removed, but she is doing great without it. She is just so happy she is alive and safe. Faith is a little shy in new situations, but who can blame her? It sounds like her life has been one big roller-coaster! Faith just needs a loving, stable home where she can feel secure. She is a great girl that loves to be petted and she craves attention. Her little motor will instantly start running when you pet her and she will start making biscuits. I think Faith would make a terrific companion for someone and she will make them very happy.
A generous donor has paid for Faith’s adoption fee!

Pretty Flower is taking applications for a new home and she is being a little choosy. But we can’t really blame her; she has had a rough couple of months and she wants to get it right this time.
She had a family but when they moved to a new home they placed her litterbox in an area that was not easily accessible so she did her business on the floor. The family was not happy about this so Flower went to a new home: outside! Poor Flower. She had never been outside before and to make matters worse, she is declawed! She was so frightened and hated her new “home”. She couldn’t understand why she was being punished for something that was not her fault.
Thankfully a family member was worried about her living outside, so she boarded Flower until a rescue could be found. And that is when we stepped in! We wanted to find Flower the loving home she deserves.
And this home must provide the following:
• A warm lap to sit in
• Tasty soft food
• A kitty bed for naps
• Petting sessions
• Lots of kisses
• LOVE
So if you think you could provide the home environment Flower is looking for, submit your application!
She would do best as a single cat.
Flower is front declawed.
Flower is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Frankie is a sweet boy that had a rough beginning. He was found living outside when he was a small kitten. He would go between a restaurant and a dental office. The people working at the dentist office would feed him and they made a little shelter for him in the winter. This had to be a lonely life for Frankie! A volunteer heard about him and he was trapped and brought to foster care until there was space at Good Mews.
Frankie was a little scared at first about being indoors because he had lived his whole life outside. His foster mom worked with him and he quickly came around and would purr and purr when she pet him.
Frankie loves other kitties and bonded with a couple of his foster siblings. He also loved his foster mom and always wanted to be close to her. He would assist her while on the computer, sit on the cushion behind her neck on the sofa, and liked to sleep tucked right into her.
Frankie may be a little shy in a new environment, but as you read, he quickly warms up and will bond with his new family. He is a wonderful cat that would love to find a forever home.

When Freddie was a kitten he was rescued along with 11 other kittens from a storm drain. They all came to Good Mews and Freddie was quickly adopted, but sadly he was returned two and a half years later because it just wasn’t working out in his home. Freddie is a very sweet boy that loves people and attention, but he would probably do best in a home without other cats. Some cats are just meant to be only cats and that is OK. There are a lot of people that just want one cat. That way they can spoil their cat and the cat can spoil their guardian.
Freddie really is a nice guy. He likes to play and he loves his treats! He is very people-oriented and will often ask for attention. He also has the cutest markings. Freddie is a cool cat so if you are looking for a single cat to spoil, consider Freddie.
A generous donor has paid for Freddie’s adoption fee!!

Frenchie is an adorable cat that looks like a snowball. We rescued her from animal control so we don’t have any history on her. But when I sit down and ponder what her life must have been like before she landed at animal control, I can only think it wasn’t very good. She is about 8 years old and was not spayed when we got her. So that tells me she may not have had a loving family to care for her. I really get the feeling Frenchie has never known true love. I wish I didn’t feel this way, but just watching her, this is the feeling I get. Frenchie is a quiet girl, but loves to be petted. She will purr when I pet her, then she will get up and walk towards me and give me a sweet little meow. I don’t know what she is saying. Maybe “thank you”? But then she will stand in front me, asking me for more pets. She will let me hold her, but not for long. I just don’t think she is used to it. I don’t think Frenchie knows what it feels like to snuggle up on the couch with someone, or have someone give her a big kiss when they get home from work. But I think when she finally has it, she will love it. Frenchie deserves to be spoiled and I hope that home comes along for her soon. She is a very sweet girl and will make a wonderful friend and companion for someone.
Update-Frenchie has come so far in the past few months. She used to be shy and would keep to herself, but now she has become a social butterfly! She loves people and attention and will often dance around people’s legs to get them to notice her. She is not a big fan of being picked up right now, but she would love to have someone to cuddle up beside on the couch. If you are looking for a sweet, quiet senior to spend your days with, then please consider Frenchie!

**Gracie had to have some of her hair shaved, that is why she has bald spots. Once her hair grows back we will get a better pic!!**
Are you looking for two sweet, quiet girls to join your family? If so, then come by and meet Gracie and Izzy. This beautiful pair are taking applications for a home where they will get a lot of attention. They want a nice lap to sit in and someone to cuddle up with in the evening. They love people and attention and will bring a lot of happiness to someone’s life.
Izzy and Gracie did have a loving home, but they lost it when their family grew and they just didn’t have the time to devote to them. They miss being a part of a family and would be so grateful for a new one.
Izzy and Gracie must be adopted together.
They are both front declawed.

Herman and Tinkerbelle are what we call “kitty soul-mates”. Their love for each other is heartwarming and they truly cherish each other. At Good Mews we would never dream of breaking up a bonded pair. Animal’s love for each other is just as strong as the love people have for each other. And there is nothing sweeter than seeing two cats cuddle together and protect each other. And this is the kind of love Herman and Tinkerbelle have for each other.
This pair came to Good Mews several years ago and because of their extreme shyness, they were with us for a long time. Then one day a nice man came in and said he wanted to adopt some cats that didn’t have the same chance as the outgoing, friendly cats. So he was introduced to Herman and Tinkerbelle. He was willing to give them all the time they needed to adjust to their new home.
Herman and Tinkerbelle always remained shy in his home, but at times they would sit with him on the couch and watch TV. He did not care that they were not social..he enjoyed having them in the home and the cats were very happy. That is all that mattered to him.
Sadly, Herman and Tinkerbelle suddenly lost the perfect home for them when their dad passed away. Because there were no family members that were able to take them in, they came back to Good Mews. At least they still have the comfort of each other, but they are going to take some time to adjust. They would love to have another quiet home and a family that will accept them for who they are.
