Description

Bradford and several other cats were rescued from a situation that started off with good intentions, but then quickly got out of hand. Someone rescued cats that were about to be euthanized at animal control but then it got to be way many cats for 1 person to care for. The situation was brought to our attention and with the help of other rescues, all of the cats were placed. We don’t know the history of these cats. Most probably had a home at some point and ended up at animal control. They are all very loving kitties that are just so happy to be alive and on their way to a new home.

Looking for a sweet, quiet cat to join your family? Come meet Bradford. He is a very handsome guy that doesn’t ask for much. He has a list he came up with on what he is looking for and wanted me to share it with you: lots of yummy food, a clean bowl of water daily, a warm snuggly bed to take afternoon naps in, a few fun toys, lots of windows to look out of so he can watch the birds, and number one on his list: LOVE! Bradford really wants someone to love him and never abandon him again. Can you full-fill his wish list?

Brooke was rescued along with her 4 darling little babies. She was a great mother and now that her kittens are ready for adoption, Brooke is looking for her new forever family. She is a beautiful girl with a very easy going personality.  She takes everything in stride and would be good with children, other cats and most likely dogs as well. She loves to be petted and held. Brooke will make a wonderful companion, so come and meet her soon!

Description

Bryant and his siblings were born outside and lived their first several weeks on the porch of an abandoned home.  Then one evening the kittens ventured over to the house next door to play on the deck.  Lucky for them the house belonged to a Good Mews volunteer who got them indoors and fostered them until there was room at the shelter.

Bryant is long and lean and looks like a panther when he stretches out.  And he loves stretching out for a nap in a patch of sunshine after a hard play session.  Bryant loves toys of all kinds and chasing his siblings around. He plays hard and sleeps hard.

Description

Bud and his sister Taylor came to Good Mews when their family lost their home. Bud is one of the most beautiful cats you will ever see. He is a little shy right now, but will easily come around when he knows he has a loving family again. I guess if I lost the only home I had ever known, I would be a little wary too!  He gets along great with other cats and is seeking a home with a family that loves him and some kitty friends to pal around with! Will you be the one to brighten Bud’s day?

She is a gorgeous girl that has an outgoing personality and enjoys meeting new people.  She has gone through a lot in the past year, and now she is looking forward to a safe, warm home where she has nothing to worry about again.

Description

Champ is a very friendly, outgoing fellow that loves human companionship. He loves to meet people and gain new friends.  He will rub against your legs, letting you know he is available for pets and snuggles.  He loves to sit in your lap and will purr with happiness. Champ is a sweet guy that is longing for a new forever home. He was adopted from Good Mews a few years ago and made his human companion very happy and was great company for him. But sadly, his human had to enter a nursing home and could not bring Champ with him. He was very sad to have to return his little buddy back to Good Mews.  Now Champ is looking for a new loving family to call his own.

—————————————————————

Champ is FIV+, but don’t let that scare you! He is a wonderful, outgoing fellow that would make the perfect companion.
FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives. They can also live safely with FIV-negative cats. FIV is spread through severe bite wounds, so it is important that your kitties get along.
Champ would do great as a single cat and would also do wonderful in a home with other kitties. He gets along with everyone and wouldn’t mind having a good buddy or two.
To learn more about FIV, please read our two articles under the Advice tab on our home page.

Description

This beautiful long-haired lady loves to be held and petted! In fact, when I tried to put her down, she made no effort to move; she wanted to stay in my arms. She is not shy at all, and will reach out to you with her paw asking for attention. How she ended up at animal control, we have no idea. Her fur is in good shape with no mats, so she probably was not outside. Perhaps her family lost their home and didn’t know what to do with her. We are thankful to be able to rescue her, as she will make a very friendly companion for someone. Come and meet China if you are looking for an affectionate cuddler!

MVP
I'm a savvy cat who knows the score. I'm pretty unflappable, too. I don't mind entertaining myself, but a human companion at the other end of the couch and a nice scratch behind the ears always make my day. If you're looking for a resourceful addition to your team, think about signing this Most Valuable Pussycat.

Party Animal
I'm a cat on a mission: PARTY! I love to play and explore and test my limits. I'd love to play with you, but I can make a toy out of anything: pencils, post-it notes, potatoes. If you're looking for some laughs and someone to liven up the party, think about inviting me.

Leader of the Band
I'm a cat who does everything in a big way. I not only like to be in the middle of things--I like to lead the parade. I'm an adventurous cat, but I'll still make plenty of time to show you my affectionate side. I'm the demonstrative type, you might say. Want a cat who's brimming with confidence? That's me.

Personal Assistant

The Executive
I have to say, I'm a busy cat. First, I've got to check out what's happening out the window. Next, I'll see if any closets or cupboards need looking into. And then there are my naps--can't be late for those. I can fit a little socializing into my schedule. Shall we plan on breakfast and dinner? I hope you like kibbles.

Sidekick
Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don't go looking for trouble, but I'm no scaredy-cat, either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.

Personal Assistant
You're working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I'll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I'll just plop in your lap so you can pet me. I love an orderly household, don't you? I'll help you with all your chores, and I'll help you relax when we're done. You'll wonder how you ever managed without me.

Private Investigator

Secret Admirer

Love Bug

Private Investigator
I'm working undercover to keep an eye on you and your household. You may not even know you're under surveillance. I can vanish into thin air if anyone or anything interferes with my investigation. If you need a cat who knows how to stay out of trouble and will always keep your secrets, I just might take your case.

Secret Admirer
When it comes to relationships, I'm very level-headed. I don't leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I'll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me, but I'll be thinking a lot of you!

Love Bug
Do you seek affection? I do! If you also like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we might have a LOT in common. I'm looking for "someone who enjoys quiet times and togetherness." Could that someone be you?

Peaches

Good_Mews

Poor Peaches was found wandering around a parking lot, all alone and sick! That must have been very scary for her. I know I would be scared if I was in that situation!
Thank goodness someone found her and we had space open at Good Mews. We nursed her back to health and she is feeling much better. She is also very happy to be safe in a comfy office. Yes, Peaches has her own office! She is such a Diva she said she did not want to share her space with others, so we accommodated her needs and she now lives in her own office. But an office is only so big and I know she would love to have a whole house to herself with lots of windows to look out of. If you would like to share your home with this feisty girl, come by and meet her. Oh, and since Peaches is such a Diva, she will only share her home with humans, no other cats, thank you very much!

Update-The staff has started letting Peaches visit the other kitties in the main shelter during the day and Peaches does great! She has been getting along with everyone so we feel Peaches would do okay going to a home with one other cat. But she still wants to be treated like the queen of the household!

Peaches has taken a temporary job as an office manager at a vet clinic while theirs is on vacation. If you are interested in meeting Peaches, please email our adopt mailbox at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
